How to become successful  Last Sunday while cleaning my closet, I found a book, ‘Collection of short stories’ revised and edited, collected from anonymous sources, and primarily the theme was about ‘How to become successful spend time with eagles’. My father must have bought this for me when I was a child, and I never got time to read even a single story.  This storybook had a disclaimer on the first page that reads: ‘Read at your own risk, you may change forever. Well, the first story goes like this… Recipe for How to be Successful using NLP Year 2040 – In the backyard of Kentucky Friend Chicken (KFC), Bangalore branch, there was a mango tree. This mango tree had an eagle nest. One day the wind was blowing hard, and an eaglet fell from the nest on to the ground. Luckily the eaglet fell on the dry grass (got away with minor injuries), which was placed by the KFC kitchen staff for the pullets to feed on. The hen saw the injured eaglet, and decided to nurture the eaglet along with the other pullets. After a few weeks the eaglet regained strength, and was able to walk. The favorite time pass of the eaglet and other pullets was to play hide-and-seek, and eat baby corn 3/4 times a day. After a few months the eaglet matured into a full-fledged gorgeous eagle and looked different from others pullets. The pullets were also mature, and could feel that the eagle looked different. Over a period of time the eagle was sick of eating corn, and one day pounced on a rat running in the backyard. The hens started shouting, “Leave the rat alone”, and the eagle had no choice but to let the rat go. The hens scolded the eagle, and told the eagle that hens didn’t eat rats. One day, while playing hide-and-seek the eagle was hiding on the roof, and while coming down managed a decent glide.  The eagle started to show off his gliding skills to the other hens, and eventually the mother got fed up and told him, “Stop doing that, Chickens don’t fly”. The eagle believed this and got on with his daily routine of playing and eating corn. One day a female eagle spotted this gorgeous...

Metaphor for motivation how do you handle crisis Are you a carrot, an egg, or a coffee bean? Yesterday, a friend came to our office and narrated a story.  The story goes like this: A young woman went to her mother and told her about her life and how things were so hard for her. She did not know how she was going to make it and wanted to give up. She was tired of fighting and struggling. It seemed as one problem was solved, a new one arose. Her mother took her to the kitchen. She filled three pots with water and placed each on a high fire. Soon the pots came to boil. In the first she placed carrots, in the second she placed eggs, and in the last, she placed ground coffee beans. She let them sit and boil, without saying a word. In about twenty minutes she turned off the burners. She fished the carrots out and placed them in a bowl. She pulled the eggs out and placed them in a bowl. Then she ladled the coffee out and placed it in a bowl. Turning to her daughter, she asked, “Tell me what you see.” “Carrots, eggs, and coffee,” she replied. Her mother brought her closer and asked her to feel the carrots. She did and noted that they were soft. The mother then asked the daughter to take an egg and break it. After pulling off the shell, she observed the hard-boiled egg. Finally, the mother asked the daughter to sip the coffee. The daughter smiled as she tasted its richness and savored its aroma. The daughter then asked, “What does it mean, mother?” Her mother explained that each of these objects had faced the same adversity – boiling water. Each reacted differently. The carrot went in strong, hard, and unrelenting. However, after being subjected to the boiling water, it softened and became weak. The egg had been fragile. Its thin outer shell had protected its liquid interior, but after sitting through the boiling water, its inside became hardened. The ground coffee beans were unique, however. Design the Life you want  NLP can be a manual for how to live. Use it to understand yourself, reset your beliefs, manage your emotions, and design life the way you want it to be, and Design the Life you want for yourself aligned with your highest value, and intention.   Life is a tapestry of our creation. We weave it with the color of our choices and the patterns of our behavior. One day, we might choose black and white, and another day ushers in splashes of multi-colored brightness. But the tapestry comes alive only in our own hands, and nobody else can create it for us – because they’re busy weaving their own. The more adept we are at handling our tapestry, the closer we are to creating the masterpiece we deeply desire. All this is aspirational. We can become so caught up in the humdrum of life that we tend to overlook the extraordinary elements that make life worth living. Worried about somehow completing today’s to-do list makes us forget that there’s a larger plan that needs to be visualized. And there are always better motifs to replace the old, worn-out patterns that we are weaving into our tapestry. To begin with, let’s narrow down the problem area. Because everyday tasks consume so much of our time and energy, we are increasingly dependent on technology and other people to rescue us from slipping up. And because of our fixed template – of thoughts, emotional states, preferences, beliefs – we barely pay attention to the life we want to lead. Achieve Greater Success by Consciously Staying in the Present

The fundamental belief of Neuro-Linguistic Programming (NLP) is that all actions performed by humans are based on the use of a representational system, which is basically the five human senses – Visual, Auditory, Kinesthetic, Olfactory, and Gustatory. Three of the five senses: Visual, Auditory, and Kinesthetic (VAK) in Neuro-Linguistic Programming play a cardinal role in mind processing. Some human actions are based on external events: which we can see, hear or feel based in real-time, and some are based on internal representations: imaginary images, voices, or feelings. By consciously being aware of VAK, we can utilize the power of being in the ‘Present’. Someone once said, ” achieve greater success by consciously staying in the present “, and to do that requires constant awareness. Man is condemned to wallow in the past and obsess about the future. The past is just that, the past, and should be left alone. Many of us have a tendency to relive past experiences, think about situations that are not relevant anymore, think about things that could have been done differently in order to change an outcome… The Past is a bottomless abyss, and once you dwell deep in it, it pulls you down further. Instead of letting your past affect you adversely, respect your past, as past experiences help define a person’s personality, and provides experience to act in the present and future situations. Similarly, one’s future is a chimera, something that cannot be predicted well in advance. That is not to say don’t plan ahead, but constantly thinking about something which is not in your direct control will hamper the outcome you have planned. It is important to set a future goal, but by obsessing about the goal, there is a chance that you might miss the power of the ‘Present’.
